Sew on Wednesday
Hey Guys! It's Wednesday and you know what that means? It means that today I will be sharing some cool sewing tips. Whether you are using a machine or your hands, you can sew beautiful things. Let's get started!
Sewing Machines
This tool is personally one of my favorites. It has different stitch settings and they also allow you to change your needles which I love. Especially if your like me and you are like me and break a needle during every use! And I like it because the stitches come out a lot neater.
Hand Sewing
To me hand sewing is for the masters or the people who are very experienced. I am not a big fan of this type of sewing because I can't stich a straight line to save my life. I always turn out with one stitch a centimeter long and the next stitch a foot long!
Thimbles: Metal vs. Plastic
If you are like me and are always getting surprised by the needle then you have probably thought about thimbles. If you have ever gotten a small pocket sewing kit then you have probably seen a plastic thimble. Those thimbles are good for fixing a button but if you are making a large quilt then you will probably want to use a metal one because they come in different sizes and will probably last a lot longer. So I think the winner would be the metal thimble.
